HEI Summer School Week 1

HEI Schools Nagoya Sakae held its first week of summer School on July 21st ~ July 24th☀

Our theme this summer was "Nature" and the first week was packed with fun activities. Our participants got to experience our first HEI Connect with HEI Schools Udonthani in Thailand, creatively use bubbles to make art, and become scientists to explore the great outdoors...all while staying in our cool classroom!

DAY 1: HEI Connect -Thailand-

We started the day by learning about Thailand, sensory play with common Thai spices and ingredients, and learning some Thai greetings 🐘
We were very fortunate to connect with our friends in Udonthani, Thailand over Zoom in the afternoon. The children enjoyed speaking with their new friends and showing off their dance moves to a Japanese song they practiced in the morning(^^♪

DAY 2: Bubble Art
We learned how to make our own bubble solution and bubble wands, the children did a great job blowing huge bubbles all by themselves!
In the afternoon we took our bubble solution to our HEI Workshop, where we used them to paint a huge poster with our bubble gadgets♡

DAY 3: Little Scientists
We put our lab coats on and dove into a day full of scientific discoveries! The children enjoyed examining how natural materials mix together in water, how they look under a magnifying glass, and how each material felt in their hands(^^/

We are are extremely lucky to have made new discoveries and enjoy learning with the children. We hope that they made as many memories as we did!
